(For those of you who participate) Happy Ash Wednesday!
I pray that this Lenten season is filled with spiritual reflection and revelations for all of you =). Remember that fasting during Lent should be more than just going through the motions… We should be using this time free of distractions to grow closer in our walk with our heavenly Father!
And also be sure to keep this scripture in mind: “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, anoint your head with oil and wash your face, that it not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, that is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” - Matthew 6:16-18
