For the Lord is with you

God works in mysterious ways.

I went out with my best friend last night for a little girl time (we haven’t hung out one-on-one in forever), and during our time out on the town I happened to meet this young man named Andy. 

He attends my university, and he is a Buddhist.  But he seemed very troubled, and when I asked him what was wrong, he mentioned to me that he has been suffering from terrifying episodes of sleep paralysis, and that he feels like some sort of dark figure is constantly just outside his door.

It was pretty scary stuff… fortunately I know exactly how he feels, having been in a similar situation myself.  I could definitely feel all the dark spirits around him trying to weigh him down.  I told him so, and I told him that if he ever needs it, I would be happy to come to his apartment to bless it (and him) with anointing oil, and to do my best to drive out whatever evil spirits are lurking around there. (Luckily he was very open to Christianity and to our beliefs).

I didn’t think he would take me up on the offer, but today when I woke up I received a text from him asking me to come and help!  So I’m going to be leaving in a couple of minutes to run over there and help to bless the apartment in God’s name.

I feel so blessed that I have an opportunity to help this person, whom I would have never met if I didn’t decide to go out last night.  I love being able to help people with my words here on the internet, but I so rarely get to actually go and PHYSICALLY do something for the glory of God (apart from evangelizing).  I’m so filled with the Holy Spirit right now that I feel like I might explode!  It is so crazy to see God using my life to help others in this way… I can’t even explain it!  Praise Him for His infinite wisdom and power!!!

I really hope that my blessing works and that I’m able to successfully help him… for both the glory of God and for his own sake.  Also, if I AM successful, I’m hoping that my new friend will be open to discussing Christianity more with me.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this story because I feel like it really was a miracle of God that I met this young man, and I wanted to ask for your guys’ help in prayer.  Will you please pray that my blessing goes well, and my friend Andy finds peace and solace in the Lord, and that the forces of Satan are banished from his presence and that they can no longer torment him or keep him from sleeping?
